F1 2026 Monaco Grand Prix – FP2 Results

FP2 saw Ferrari lead the field once again, but with Lewis Hamilton taking the top spot instead of the home hero, Charles Leclerc, for the second session of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. It was a disrupted session, with two Red Flags caused by Lando Norris and Sergio Perez, which halted running for both drivers. However, despite the stops, Ferrari seemed to be the clear leaders around the winding streets of Monaco, with Max Verstappen’s Red Bull close behind.

Charles Leclerc admits to outside interest before securing Ferrari F1 future

Charles Leclerc admitted that other Formula 1 teams sounded him out for a potential switch from Ferrari, before committing to a long-term deal with the Scuderia. The Monegasque driver has been with Ferrari since 2019, having already been part of its academy, and has become woven into the famous team’s history.

Aston Martin’s Chief Trackside Officer Mike Krack has dropped a big hint that Team Principal Adrian Newey will be present at this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix, ending a three-month Formula 1 hiatus from trackside duties. The legendary design guru has not been seen since the season-opener in Australia, where he revealed the extent of the team’s problems, relating to its Honda power unit.
