Jack Thompson’s Biography

A freelance journalist and communicator reporting on the nexus of food, farming and the environment, based in Dakar, West Africa. The global food system is complex - as a farmer's son with a master's in food policy and 10 years of experience in the sector, there are few better qualified to report, analyse and articulate its importance to the public. Previously developed a national magazine on sustainable food, Wicked Leeks, and bylines at Modern Farmer, Hakai, The Japan Times, Vittles, and Africa Business. Fluent French and Spanish speaker, and learning Wolof, the language in Senegal.
