An Edinburgh dad has opened his own boxing gym in Granton with the aim of producing a World Champion for the capital. Sean Spence, 33, is father to Callie, four, and Ella-Rose, one. He had a successful career as an amateur boxer, winning UK titles and fighting around the world. But after hanging up his gloves in his late 20s, Sean then turned to coaching, being part of the Team Scotland set up that took him as far afield as Argentina.

West Lothian police hunt two suspects over vandalism to homes and vehicles

West Lothian officers are hunting for two male suspects after homes and vehicles were vandalised in Fauldhouse. Police Scotland said the incidents occurred between 2am and 3am on Sunday May 17, 2026. Two males are believed to be involved with the first is described as around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and wearing a grey tracksuit.

Midlothian locals report 'vehicle break-ins' as police launch probe

A number of residents in Roslin and Bilston have reported their vehicles being broken into over Sunday May 31 and Monday June 1. Footage circulating online appeared to show a small group of individuals approaching cars and garages on Lawson Johnson Drive. Local police are investigating both vehicle break-ins and attempted break-ins across both Midlothian communities.
