What’cha Wearing: Spring Edition

Upscale Vintage Grunge First-year Radio TV Film major Gwen Evenson describes her fashion as “upscale vintage grunge.” “I prefer a mix of grungy, vintage and 90s laid-back fashion,” said Evenson. Most of her fashion inspirationcomes from Pinterest and movies.

Signing off in style
I never wanted to be a journalist. In fact, if you told me four years ago that I would be in love with newspapers, I would genuinely call you crazy. I’m always in love with a variety of things and I had a difficulty choosing my major, so I went safe and chose communications. Although I don’t regret this decision, I can confidently say that working at the Advance-Titan opened completely changed by career path.
The Advance-Titan
Welcome to Sex In-The-920! I’m the Carrie Bradshaw of UW-Oshkosh, or your college sex guru. Now, I’ve been asked this question so many times. By my friends and especially the A-T Staff. So this is for them! When looking at size on your partner, regardless of top size, to even the size of them, it all doesn’t ultimately matter. So, I couldn’t help but wonder, how big is too big when having sex? To be clear, I’m not talking about weight.
Co-sports editor bids A-T farewell
My start in student print media is more unconventional than most students. I started writing for the Advance-Titan as a freshman, but only wrote two stories because Cory Sparks recommended me to write. I then focused my time on Titan TV and working a lot in the Radio TV Film program. Sparks got me started and he never got to see me become assistant sports editor or co-sports editor, but here I am writing this saying I have held both titles.
Jazz concert review
The UWO Jazz Ensemble held its final concert for the school year this past Thursday, Plugged In – Jazz Rock & Jazz Fusion. Boasting a wide variety of music, the eighteen-piece ensemble directed by Professor Marty Robinson. grooved and rocketed their way through a blistering ten song performance that ran the gamut of great improvisation and artistry. Opening the festivities was the Freddie Hubbard song “Red Clay”. The song set the tone for the night, with its funky rhythms and laidback feel.
A guide to summer anywhere!
Summer is rapidly approaching, with only two weeks until freedom, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re gonna plan this summer. But you don’t want it to be like every other summer where you say you’re gonna do really cool things and then end up scrolling at home, do you? In order to avoid that, I am sharing our guide on how to optimize time on vacation while still getting that bank.
Balancing life and relationships
Welcome to Sex In-The-920! I’m the Carrie Bradshaw of UW-Oshkosh, or your college sex guru. With everyone having their own life, having a relationship and welcoming someone into yours can be difficult. Finding that balance is always hard because you want to give love to someone new, but also your friends and to yourself all at once. Prioritizing yourself should always be your number one priority because at the end of the day all you ever have is yourself.
Prohibition was a family affair in Oshkosh
Last month, the Winnebago County Historical Society held an event on the history of Oshkosh during Prohibition. Lee Rieherzer, beer historian and author, spoke at the event and told the room of over a hundred about the main players in Oshkosh from the era, most of whom were immigrants and had families. Rieherzer told the story of August “Fuddy” Witzke, who was an immigrant from Germany that refused to shut down his bar.
Best bars in Oshkosh
The Fox Valley has the best drinking culture in the entire United States. In 2016, CBS news put Appleton at the top of its “20 drunkest cities in America” and had Oshkosh right behind it at No. 2.For the past year, Advance-Titan editors Jacob Link, Dylan Przybylski and Zach Bellin have traveled to every bar in Oshkosh to learn more about the historic culture of drinking within the city.
Pączki help define tradition at Smurawa’s bakery
As the priest walks down the aisle at the end of Mass, most people head for their cars, but in Pulaski, Wisconsin, they head to Smurawa’s Country Bakery. Inside Smurawa’s Country Bakery, the line often stretches to the door as the scent of fresh donuts and bread fills the shop. Families still dressed in their Sunday best scan the display cases, greeting neighbors and debating which treats are so good that they won’t make it home.
That Luke Bussey sells ads
Categories: May 6, 2026 When I first stepped onto the UWO campus, I quickly realized there was an astounding number of chipmunks, but unfortunately, practically no pigeons. This simple fact has stayed true throughout all four years.
Editor-in-Chief writes 443rd story
Well, with graduation two weeks away, it’s time for me to write the piece that everyone hates: the senior sendoff. In my prep for this piece, I read a few articles from professors, like Vincent Filak, about the senior sendoff. They all end up exactly the same and usually mention jokes and shoutouts that only a few people understand. But at the same time, the seniors, who have poured hours into their life in student media, deserve to have at least one story about them.

UWO needs to adapt to AI or risks falling behind
I am a student here at UW-Oshkosh and I am in a microeconomics class learning about short-run aggregate supply. After learning about it in class, it is very important to bring to the attention of the Advance-Titan about how artificial intelligence will affect short-run aggregate supply and how UWO can pay a big role in helping to prepare our students for the future.
Inflation is being taught incorrectly
Categories: April 28, 2026 Schools are generally focused on explaining deep detailed models rather than focusing on preparing students to understand real world inflation. Teaching inflation in schools should be different. It is crucial that students are able to grasp the idea regarding the impact inflation has in our everyday life. Many students can define inflation. However, fewer students are able to explain why their everyday costs are increasing. This gap is a serious problem.

Welcome to Sex In-The-920! I’m the Carrie Bradshaw of UW-Oshkosh, or your college sex guru. In college, or in life where hook-up culture is inevitable, the question of body counts gets asked. How active someone is, or even how many partners they’ve had. When I say body count, I mean sexual partners, and not kills. Hookup culture can extend a person’s body count in different ways, so I couldn’t help but wonder, does a higher body count mean you’re more experienced, or you’re promiscuous?
Titans bounced by Blugolds in WIAC Tournament
In the first round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tournament, the UW-Oshkosh women’s tennis team fell to UW-Eau Claire by a 4-0 decision at the John and Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center on April 21. The WIAC Tournament matches follow the play until decision format, where two teams compete until a team reaches four team points. When that occurs, the meet ends and all remaining matchups are labeled as unfinished instead of a normal dual’s play to completion format.

Getting out of the game
Welcome to Sex In-The-920! I’m the Carrie Bradshaw of UW-Oshkosh, or your college sex guru. Breaking up with someone is always awkward, whether you love them or not. However, sometimes it’s better to just end the relationship than hold onto something that isn’t even real. So I couldn’t help but wonder, how many people are getting dumped currently, and in what ways are we dumping? I give you the two best ways to break up with someone. 1.

Was Euphoria Season 3 worth the 4-year wait? April 21, 2026 When I first watched the first two seasons of “Euphoria” as a high schooler, I was mesmerized by the cinematography and music. It was nothing like I had seen before from a TV show about high school. But with four years in between the finale of Season 2 and the premiere of Season 3, there were major controversies surrounding the show and cast.
Allowing NIL deals exposed a once hidden labor market
Dear Editor, Many people watch sports, both collegiate and professional. With such a high viewership of college, for a long time it was argued that college athletes should be paid. As of July 1, 2021, NIL Deals, or deals made with college athletes allowing their name, image and likeness to be featured in advertising and merchandising, were made legal after years of dispute.
