1. Introduction Laccases are multi-copper oxidases capable of catalyzing the oxidation of a wide range of aromatic and non-aromatic substrates. This enzymatic process involves a four-electron reduction of molecular oxygen to water, coupled with the oxidation of substrate molecules [1,2]. Structurally, laccases have three cupredoxin-like domains (A, B, and C) that collectively bind four copper atoms: one Cu-T1, one Cu-T2, and two Cu-T3, which are anchored by Histidine residues [3].

Abstract Haplotype-level allelic characterization facilitates research on the functional, evolutionary and breeding-related features of extremely large and complex plant genomes. We report a 21.7-Gb chromosome-level haplotype-resolved assembly in Pinus densiflora. We found genome rearrangements involving translocations and inversions between chromosomes 1 and 3 of Pinus species and a proliferation of specific long terminal repeat (LTR) retrotransposons (LTR-RTs) in P. densiflora.

1. Introduction Lignocellulose, derived from woody plants, serves as a valuable source for biofuel production [1,2]. Wood is composed of a secondary cell wall (SCW) enriched with cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. To improve the properties of woody biomass, it requires a comprehensive understanding of the transcriptional regulation of the biosynthesis of these components.
