SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– Strong winds returned to KELOLAND on Wednesday as a low-pressure system moved through the Northern Plains. It also brought some moisture, which we could really use in several areas. From June 1 through June 16, Sioux Falls has picked up just under a tenth of an inch of rain. During this time last year, we already had an inch. Rapid City has also struggled to pick up some precipitation, but for other locations in between, it is not too bad so far this month.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Breezy, northerly winds returned to KELOLAND today and it brought in much cooler air. Our high temperatures as of 5 PM CDT have only been in the 60s and 70s. In Rapid City, they are currently 13 degrees below average for this time of year. Going into tonight, our winds will calm down and we are going to cool off into the 40s and 50s for lows. In the Black Hills, even some 30s are possible! We will stay quiet and more of this weather is in store for Sunday.
