On Monday, October 7, Juan Manuel Sánchez Rosales was appointed as the new head of the Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection of Tijuana (SSPPCT); he is a professional with extensive work experience in the area and is looking to generate positive change in the city. By a majority vote, the councilors of the City Council of the 25th City Hall of Tijuana voted for and chose Juan Manuel Sánchez, the first option proposed by the municipal president of Tijuana, Ismael Burgueño.
