Abstract The crawling motility of nematode sperm is driven by the unconventional cytoskeletal protein, Major Sperm Protein (MSP). In developing spermatocytes, MSP assembles on the cytosolic side of Golgi-derived membranous organelles (MOs) in structures called Fibrous Bodies (FBs). These MSP-laden FB-MO complexes facilitate the subsequent segregation of MSP to budding spermatids and away from central residual bodies. Here we identify SPE-55 as a key FB assembly factor.
Jake Diaz 1:18 am, Mar 05, 2019 Guest Columnist Last Thursday, Students Unite Now hosted a Town Hall on the Student Income Contribution. We spent hours sharing stories about the costs the SIC has on our lives and why Yale needs to eliminate it. I was there. Over 200 other students were there. The administration was not. Sharing your story is hard.
On Monday, the three of us, as brothers, along with over 20 other students, sat in at the Office of Financial Aid and demanded that the Yale administration end the student income contribution. We were unflinching in our demand, refusing to leave until Yale agreed to eliminate the student income contribution. Our message was impossible to ignore: We are done waiting. Yale must eliminate the student income contribution.
