Nasdaq Rolls out Renew Risk Catastrophe Models for Offshore Wind Farms
Sustainability is a dominant theme in the energy sector, and offshore wind farms have an important role to play in the growth of renewable energy sources. However, these massive, complex infrastructures have unique development and operational risks, including high capital costs and exposure to natural hazards. These challenges and risks require adequate insurance coverage and risk management strategies to ensure the viability and profitability of offshore wind farms.

Build trust in a digital-first world through StorySelling
Make your members the heroes of your credit union’s marketing and not the other way around. For years, I’ve heard speakers at industry conferences tell credit union leaders that they have to “tell a better story.” I’d sit there thinking, “What does that even mean?” I became really frustrated because even though I agreed with the recommendation, it felt toothless. There was no substance behind it, no practicality. How do you tell a better story?
Position beyond dollars and cents to grow loans and deposits by banking on purpose
Develop a purpose statement for your credit union that works to improve members’ health, wealth and happiness. A growing number of leaders are championing what they call conscious capitalism—building companies based on the idea their business is about more than just making a profit. Think Costco, Trader Joe’s, REI and Whole Foods. In fact, purpose is the path toward future growth.
29. Using Your Brain to Cope With Change (With Melina Palmer)

Today's episode is part of the Exponential Insights series, and I'm excited to welcome Melina Palmer to the show. Melina is the founder and CEO of The Brainy Business, and also the host of The Brainy Business podcast.

For financial institutions, the solution to helping customers during COVID-19 is simple, literally
Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, we have been inundated with information that is constantly changing and sometimes even contradictory to what we were told previously. The result is a whole lot of confusion, frustration, and overwhelm. Financially, many people are uncertain and afraid, and more than anything, they just want to understand what’s going on. Even outside of COVID-19, money is an inherently complex subject. Part of the problem is cultural: we simply don’t talk very much about money.

5. How Will Banking Adjust to Life After COVID-19 (With Brett King)
Brief Summary of Episode #5 We are all adapting. Innovating. Pushing forward. What does the future of banking look like? Will AI render on-site branch banking obsolete? Maybe. What it can do is allow the banking industry the ability to offer all traditional services digitally enabling businesses and individuals a “social distancing friendly” banking system. Can they implement it fast enough? What other industries can be connected to banking through AI?

5 ways financial marketers can avoid the ‘quicksand of digital change’

For every marketer feeling overwhelmed, just one idea here may help reverse this trend. There’s an increasing trend among financial brand marketing teams I work with: They report feeling stressed and overwhelmed thanks to the continued rise and focus on digital growth.

Help us help Houston families recover from Hurricane Harvey - CUInsight
Normally, when I write an article, I am sharing one of the latest digital marketing resources we’ve recently published to help you maximize your bank’s or credit union’s digital growth potential. But today, however, I’m asking for your help. I grew up in Houston. Houston is where my wife and I are raising our kids. Houston is home. The rain in Houston started to fall Friday as Hurricane Harvey came to shore and it has not stopped since.
Digital marketing strategy vs. tactics for credit unions - CUInsight
The internet is full of tips, tricks, and tactics that promise to help you get ahead and beat your competition. For example: “A website welcome mat can 10x your subscribers and leads!” “Double your content shares by adding social media buttons before AND after your blog articles.” “Are you embedding tweets for social proof? These can skyrocket consumer trust!” But there’s a problem with these tricks. They don’t offer any real substance.
How to bring humanity back to your credit union website - CUInsight
I recently heard one of the best analogies about a credit union website from a client we are helping to establish a Digital Growth Blueprint. When asked about their website’s effectiveness, the client replied, “It should be treated and viewed like a branch. Like our number one sales channel.
There is no risk in planning for digital growth - CUInsight
Financial services is one of the most risk-averse verticals on the planet. While other vertical markets work to exploit risk, financial services executives look to limit it. And herein lies the paradox. The same super smart financial executives who work to limit risk on a daily basis are actually engaging in tremendous amounts of risk when it comes to digital growth.

From: James Lay Date: Fri, 02 Oct 2015 11:12:11 -0600 Yea there you go...odd that there's no AFPacket. If you're running as root, which I think from other emails I see you might be, I would create a script log like so: script snorttest.txt strace snort ctrl-D Then let's see what that looks like. Re: 32bit snort rpm
From: James Lay Date: Fri, 02 Oct 2015 09:46:15 -0600 Drop the --daq pcap as that's the default anyway. In a console try: /usr/local/bin/snort -T -u snort -g snort -c /etc/snort/snort.conf Should run a test and give you any errors, if none then change your -T to -D. Re: 32bit snort rpm
From: James Lay Date: Fri, 02 Oct 2015 11:44:13 -0600 Wow...at this point I would hit the snort dev list....there's nothing super out of place. I would change: /usr/local/lib/snort_dynamicpreprocessor/ to /usr/local/lib/snort_dynamicpreprocessor but I doubt that has anything to do with it. An interesting puzzle!
