Introduction Kawasaki disease (KD) is an acute vasculitis of childhood and the leading cause of acquired heart disease in developed countries.1-4 Timely treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin reduces coronary complications,5-8 yet diagnosis remains clinical and subjective.9 Up to 25% of children present with incomplete features overlapping viral or bacterial infections, leading to diagnostic delay.
