James Murphy’s Biography

James Murphy has the privilege of helping empower entrepreneurs everyday through the power of technology and human connections. His writing focuses on technology and venture development as well as small business financing.

As a Founding Partner with Proton Enterprises, James works in the financial technology and health & fitness sectors. Previously, He spent several years in Haiti and Mexico working with developing market entrepreneurs - as a means to thinking about charity differently.

James is a graduate of Yale University and stays engaged with the Yale community as a trustee of The 100-year old Aurelian Honor Society, a Director of Yale FinTech, and speaking at a variety of Yale events. In particular, James enjoys helping bright minds direct their talents outside of "traditional" career tracks towards more fulfilling entrepreneurial endeavors.

James is a lifelong spearfisherman and snowboarder.
