There are still significant issues with the accident and emergency department at Hereford County Hospital, bosses have admitted. Wye Valley NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, said only two-thirds of patients were admitted, transferred, or discharged within the four-hour target and one in 10 spend more than 12 hours in A&E. At June's trust board meeting, managing director Sarah Shingler said the urgent and emergency care pathway was the biggest challenge and biggest area for focus.
