Guang Shi won two and reached the semi-finals of the MD40 category together with Thomas Guignat of France. They met the host country pair Kim Jin Hyeok and Lee Hee Sung, whom they defeated 3-2 (6-11, 11-6, 10-12, 12-10, 11-7). After trailing by two in the match, they won the last two games to win the match and set up a final against another pair from the host country. The English/French duo lost in an exciting battle 3-1 (13-11, 10-12, 12-10,11-8) against Lee Soo Nu & Kim Jungkyun.
