James Hoeck is a photojournalist and artist based in Chicagoland.
Hoeck completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography with a minor in media (advertising, journalism, and media & cinema studies) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Hoeck’s work was displayed in the Krannert Art Museum, the second largest art museum in the state of Illinois his final year in academia.
Hoeck led as Photo Editor for the Illini Media Company’s newspaper, The Daily Illini. Hoeck also managed as Editor-in-Chief for the book publication Illio. Currently, James Hoeck works independently as a freelance photographer within the Chicago area.
Hoeck is open for freelance as well as full-time opportunities and is available for travel assignments.
