As a child, Kibo wanted to draw cartoons and comics, but he says that when he heard Wu- Tang, he realised there was more than one way to skin a cat. Later, when he discovered MF DOOM, a key influence he regularly cites, he realised just how much potential there was for word-building in music. To his credit, the influence of DOOM looms large on ‘Kwengletaria:Ragamyff’, but never in a way that feels pastiche.
