Read Full Bio →My name is Jamie Rooke, I am a journalist specialising in sports and film and I am currently based in Devon. Primarily, I cover all sports for a trio of Tindle Newspapers and their respective websites (Mid-Devon Advertiser, South Hams Gazette and Tavistock Times Gazette).
Alongside that, I am a content writer and deputy film editor for The Indiependent, with film (and also TV) being another big passion of mine.

When I was 15, I started writing my own football blog on a website called 90min.com.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
I have always taken pride in being able to tell stories and think in this line of work, you have the ability to make a real difference.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
I still have a long way to go in my own career but I think journalism is all about repetition and also networking, as cliché as it may sound.
