Jan Schroder’s Biography

Jan Schroder is an Atlanta-based travel writer, journalist and editor-in-chief of The Travel 100, a publication of The 100 Companies. Her stories also appear in The Atlanta 100 and the 23 other publications of The 100 Companies, which have a combined monthly circulation of more than 1.1 million in the U.S.

She is an award-winning writer and editor, author of several books and produces a monthly radio segment for the iHeart radio show Speaking of Travel.

Her travel writing has also appeared in Atlanta Intown, Global Traveler, Fodor’s, Orbitz, DeSoto magazine and Simply Buckhead.

She is a native of Atlanta, and a graduate of the University of Virginia. Jan is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association.
