The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art has been around for nearly 25 years and is the only nonprofit organization in the United States solely dedicated to outsider art. As the museum gets ready to celebrate its anniversary in a unique way next year, the staff credits its success to the showcasing of artists who aren't formally taught as well as Intuit 's ability to attract audiences that aren't typically prone to attend art museums. In 1983, the Corcoran Gallery of Art put on a black folk art exhibit at the Field Museum.

Sophia Bush's ex-boyfriend, Google executive Dan Fredinburg, is among several others that died in the Nepal earthquake that triggered a Mt. Everest avalanche Saturday. Fredinburg, 33, spent the last three weeks scaling Mount Everest, NBC News reports. News of his death was first announced by U.K.-based Jagged Edge, the group he was traveling with, on their website. "It is with the greatest sorrow that we report the death of one of our Everest team members, Daniel Fredinburg. Two other team members have non-life threatening injuries, as a result of the avalanche that struck base camp during the earthquake and its aftershocks," the post reads.

Disappointed Dave Chappelle fans are demanding a refund after receiving a poor performance Thursday at the Fillmore Detroit. Multiple people say Chappelle took the stage an hour late, which was partially due to the audience still taking their seats, TMZ reports. Once Chappelle took the stage he told very few jokes and sat quietly smoking, rambling and slurring his speech. In a video obtained by TMZ, someone in the crowd yells, "Let's hear some of the act!" "Well sir, it's a little late for that. Right now I've gotta get off the stage because it's 2:00 in the morning," Chappelle responds although the crowd informs him that it is only 1:00 am.

Bodyguard Lenoard Taylor is filing a lawsuit against his former employer, club owner Barry Mullineaux, claiming that Mullineaux forced him to buy cocaine for celebrity guests. Taylor, who worked for Mullineaux between 2006 and 2010, filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court for $1 million in emotional abuse, Page Six reports. "Mr. Mullineaux would get the money from the cash register. I would have to buy drugs for such celebrities as Barron Hilton, John Mayer, Chris Evans, Ms. [sic] America Tara Conner," Taylor says in the lawsuit.

Selma director Ava DuVernay now has her own Barbie doll as part of Mattel's "Sheroes" collection. Alongside DuVernay, Mattel announced Friday that five other females will be honored with one of a kind "Sheroes" dolls inspired by them, Time reports. DuVernay is the first black female to direct a film nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. She also founded the African American Film Festival Releasing Movement, which provides opportunities and resources to underrepresented filmmakers, Huffington Post notes. "Barbie has always represented that girls have choices, and this spring we are proud to honor six "Sheroes" who through their trade and philanthropic efforts are an inspiration to girls," Barbie general manager, Evelyn Mazzocco, said.

National Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman shocked many and caused some controversy when he said the "Katy Perry" chants made towards Anaheim's Corry Perry weren't sexist. At a meeting with several reporters and sports editors, The Sporting News' Jesse Spector asked Bettman whether or not he feared the chants may turn female fans away. Spector also noted that the Pittsburgh Peguins' Sidney Crosby has been referred to as "Princess Crosby" or even "Cindy Crosby" at times, Wall Street Journal reports. "You think that's sexist? Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" track off the Fast & Furious 7 soundtrack has officially become the fastest-selling single of 2015 so far. The track, which features vocals from rising singer Charlie Puth, climbed 21 places this week with combined chart sales of 193,000. The single also landed at No. 1 in the UK charts, Daily Mail notes. Official Charts reports that "See You Again" knocked off Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do," which was the previous fastest-seller with 172,000 chart sales. "See You Again" set a new streaming record as well with 3.68 million streams in seven days.

Leaked emails from the Sony hacking show that Ben Affleck asked that the history of an ancestor, who owned slaves, be censored from his appearance on Finding Your Roots. Affleck appeared on the PBS series, which discussed his Freedom Rider mother, an ancestor from the Revolutinary War and his third great-grandfather last October, the Huffington Post reports. However, a hacked email posted to WikiLeaks Thursday shows that Affleck requested that PBS edit information about his ancestors out. The email shows Finding Your Roots host, Henry Louis Gates Jr., seeking the advice of Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton regarding Affleck's request, according to the New York Daily Mail.

It's hard to think of our favorite songs being sung by another artists, but a lot of times that's exactly what happens in the music business. Some of the biggest hits today were written by writers who had a particular artist in mind to sing their song. However, that artist turned the song down and it got passed along until it landed in the hands of someone who was willing to sing it. Seeing as these songs have gone on to become highly successful, it's seems odd to imagine how someone else's vocals would sound on the song.
