Showers and storms are finally making their way back west to the coast over the next week. A few of those showers reached the coast this weekend, but most stayed inland. Next week, our east wind pattern will help shift some of that rain west. The sea breeze will be what kicks off the rain first as it moves onshore Monday near the beach. It will drift inland with rain chances around 40-50%. Highs reach the low to mid 90s with heat indices 100-106.

Happy Sunday! We're expecting a repeat forecast of Saturday today which means rain chances around 40-50%, hot temps and high humidity. The sea breeze will drift onshore between 11 am and 2 pm and that will trigger a few pop up showers and storms near the water, and those will gradually drift inland through 3 pm. From 3 to 6 pm, scattered storms are likely along and east of I-75. Some of those storms will then drift west to the coast heading into tonight, just like we saw Saturday night.

After a few lucky spots near the coast saw some rain this morning, the bulk is shifting inland as our winds are still out of the southwest. That pattern is finally about to change, and we'll start to see higher rain chances back west to the coast soon. This afternoon, best coverage will be east of 75 with some trying to develop west. Expect highs in the low to mid 90s with heat indices 100-105.
