One of Jason’s strengths has been developing talent and creating strategic partnerships. He has guided more than a thousand advisors and 60 leaders across Canada, supporting them as they built sustainable careers. At the same time, he helped create over 200 business partnerships with associations, groups, and government institutions. Each partnership had a clear purpose: to provide specialized, value-driven financial services that meet the needs of families, workers, and organizations.

He has led initiatives ranging from the growth of multi-million-dollar platforms to the launch of startups and charitable projects. In 2022, Ghassan became Founder & CEO of Nolos Cabinet Multidisciplinaire Inc., a Canadian company designed to integrate FinTech, InsurTech, and LegalTech into one platform. With Nolos, he set out to make financial and legal services more accessible to middle-class families. The platform brings together a Quebec-based legal firm, a notarial study, and a national financial MGA distributing protection and wealth products from Canada’s most prominent institutions. Under his leadership, Nolos has grown quickly, supported by acquisitions and partnerships. He acquired Skylegal in 2022, strengthening the company's legaltech side, and in 2023 launched a charitable foundation to broaden access to justice and financial protection during estate and legacy planning. He recently acquired a technology firm specializing in software for public and private organizations, adding innovation and B2B capabilities to the Nolos platform.
Earlier in his career, Jason Barakat was a Strategic Senior Consultant, taking on mandates with Chubb Insurance and other industry leaders. From 2003 until 2021, he served as President and Principal Officer with AMF of La Capitale Services Conseils, where he grew assets under management from $300 million to over $3 billion while focusing on specialized services for Quebec’s public sector employees. In 2017, he became President of La Capitale Financial Security, where he modernized national operations in disability and personal finance solutions, introduced new compensation structures, and emphasized inclusion and advisory excellence. He also served as President of SSQ Financial Group Distribution, where he helped modernize retirement planning, aligned operations during a merger, and supported improvements in client service and profitability.
Alongside his professional life, Jason Barakat has been deeply involved in philanthropy. For more than two decades, he has participated in the Guignolet de Saint-Vincent de Paul holiday tradition and supported charitable efforts that benefit institutions and retirement planning education. In 2021, he partnered with Peartree Canada to help organizations and individuals expand their impact through philanthropic planning. He later founded the Nolos Foundation, which focuses on access to Justice & Family Legacy Planning, while also serving as a volunteer leader for nonprofit boards and interfaith humanitarian projects.
Ghassan's academic foundation includes studies at Concordia University John Molson School of Business, where he specialized in finance, business law, and theology. He has also completed extensive studies in securities, investments, estate planning, insurance, venture capital, and strategic philanthropy, earning multiple certifications.
