1 Introduction Malignant thymus-like tumors arising in the thyroid are rare tumors, which pose diagnostic and management challenges. These tumors were formally categorized by Chan and Rosai in 1991 as either spindle epithelial tumors with thymus-like differentiation (SETTLE) or carcinomas showing thymus-like differentiation (CASTLE) [1, 2].
