Tracking the coolest temperatures since mid-June across southeastern Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE - A cold front slides through southeast Wisconsin Tuesday morning, giving us some relief from the smoke and a break from the threat of storms. It'll still be a warm day, but drier air will lower humidity through the day. Behind the front, there's still a slight chance for a few pop-up showers, but most of the area will stay dry. Expect a pretty windy Tuesday with our winds out of the northwest from 10 to 20 mph. Gusts could get closer to 30.

MILWAUKEE - After a smoky Sunday across southeast Wisconsin, the focus now shifts to the threat for severe storms on Monday. The good news is the air quality should greatly improve Monday afternoon thanks to a southwesterly wind, but that also means more heat and humidity ahead of an approaching cold front. During the morning hours Monday, we'll track a developing cluster of storms to our west, but these storms will likely fall apart before reaching southeast Wisconsin.
