This has been a difficult year for many. The weight of global events has reached into our homes and our schools, bringing pain, confusion and sometimes silence. As a leader in public education, father and resident of the Bexley community, I’ve thought deeply about what it means to lead during a time when nuance is often lost and public trust feels more fragile than ever. Some communities are stepping back from conversations about equity and belonging, but in Bexley, we continue to lean in.
