The median age of participants was 28 years (range 18–49 years). Eight out of ten UITMW were in Mexico with their children. Just over half of the study population was from Honduras and 64.7% reported fleeing violence as the main reason for leaving their country of origin. Of the 252 UITMW, 41.3% had been in Mexico for ≤ 15 days, 30.9% between 16 and 30 days, and 27.8% for more than 30 days (range 30 days to 5 years) (Table 1).
