Sunil worked alongside founder Dan Kravitz for some 14 years before taking the reins, and the portfolio remains exactly what longtime followers have come to expect: a deep well of family-owned growers, small estates, and top co-ops sourced from across Europe and beyond.

Château Valandraud: From Garage to Premier Grand Cru

Thirty-five years ago, Château Valandraud was barely a thousand bottles of wine made by hand in a rented “garage.” Today, it’s a Premier Grand Cru Classé, and I was recently able to sit down in the estate’s new cellar in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse with Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud and taste through every vintage ever produced, from the 1991 debut through the 2023.
