[CLASH] · 7/25/2025 Weeks of tensions related to border disputes between Thailand and Cambodia have seen their most dramatic escalation yet as fire was exchanged between the two countries’ militaries, including airstrikes by Thailand and artillery strikes by Cambodia. On 16 July two Thai soldiers were injured by landmines near the border that Thailand says were placed by Cambodia recently.

No casualties have been reported from either side. As relations deteriorate between India and Pakistan following a terrorist attack on a resort town in Indian Kashmir, troops from both countries exchanged fire on 25 April along the Kashmir frontier, one of the world’s most contentious borders.

The U.S. and Israel have launched strikes against Iran after weeks of talks bore no resolution on Iran’s nuclear program. The strikes are implicitly aimed at attempting to change Iran’s regime, as U.S. president Donald Trump urged Iranians to “take over [their] government.” U.S. attacks were reported in the capital Tehran as well as major cities Isfahan, Shiraz, and Tabriz. Further attacks occurred around Iranian oil-refining infrastructure near the Persian Gulf. At least 40 people have died.
