JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Washington County Commission will consider a fiscal 2027 budget next month that doesn’t include a tax increase after the county’s budget committee unanimously recommended a new budget Thursday. Mayor Joe Grandy told News Channel 11 the budget, with $167.8 million in spending, will be balanced by up to $6 million in reserve funds. Projected revenues are more than $5 million shy of the projected expenditures.
