July 7, 2026, 12:10 p.m. ET Andrew Gillum, who narrowly lost a bid for Florida governor, is facing drug charges after being arrested in Alabama, law enforcement records show. Gillum, the former mayor of Tallahassee who lost to Ron DeSantis in the 2018 gubernatorial race, was arrested by the Daphne Police Department on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, Baldwin County Sheriff's Office records show.
