Why is the trash man lazy? I know this is a college town and most students don’t give a damn, even regular residents for that matter. I take the time out of my schedule to be considerate to the service men of this county during the winter to shovel away the snow so that the mail man and garbage men can get to the necessary needs of the public for their paid service.I actually talked to the mail man to make sure that I made it accessible to get to the mail box this winter.

Abrupt increases in operating costs are spurring some restaurants, bars and nightclubs to do away with tipping, instructing patrons not to tip and barring servers from accepting tips. In the place of tips, such operations are charging “service fees” on all checks, fees from 3-20 percent of the patron’s bill.
