AI Video Generation, explained By now, you’ve probably seen the crazy videos of Donald Trump drunk driving and Vladimir Putin riding a horse. Of course, they aren’t real, but they look realistic enough to fool older people on Facebook. It’s hard to believe how fast technology has advanced in this century so far, and AI is no exception.

This refers to not just traditional underdogs — sports, rags to riches, David vs. Goliath — but rather inclusive of any stories where going against the grain succeeded beyond anyone’s wildest beliefs. These are stories centered around audacity, innovation, and risk.

Making The Right Diagnosis: A Response To Berwick And Gilfillan
In two Forefront articles on September 29 and September 30, 2021, “Medicare Advantage, Direct Contracting, And the Medicare ‘Money Machine’,” Drs. Don Berwick and Rick Gilfillan argue that Medicare Advantage (MA) plans receive higher premiums relative to what the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) would pay in traditional Medicare (TM). They attribute this to the incentive in MA to capture diagnoses in order to increase risk scores, and in turn premium payments, for MA plans.

Engineering a HER2-specific antibody-drug conjugate to increase lysosomal delivery and therapeutic efficacy
Abstract We improve the potency of antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) containing the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-specific antibody pertuzumab by substantially reducing their affinity for HER2 at acidic endosomal pH relative to near neutral pH. These engineered pertuzumab variants show increased lysosomal delivery and cytotoxicity towards tumor cells expressing intermediate HER2 levels.
