Because it was the final night of the Lonely World Tour (Leg 1) with headliner Hawthorne Heights, the band and the crowd both seemed extra hyped. The night kicked off with Creeper, setting a solid foundation before letlive. absolutely tore the roof off the place. From the jump, letlive.

Before Solya took her throne on stage at Club Dada, we talked about her signature look, that classic analog sound, and what it really feels like to represent the Lone Star State right now. When I caught up with her on Friday night, she’d just finished her VIP Meet & Greet at Dada Dallas. She had a warm, gracious presence with just a hint of nerves as the show was going to start soon. We sat down on a couch in a tiny backstage room where Solya was waiting for the show to begin.

Solya rolled into Club Dada on Friday night to kick off her Queen of Texas tour, and let’s just say the vibe was less pageant queen and more altar girl gone rogue. She stepped out in her signature uniform: a white dress anchored by a gaudy cross necklace, topped off with enough dark eyeliner and maroon lipstick to make a 90s goth proud. The aesthetic wasn’t just on stage, though. Looking around the room, it was clear that the Solya uniform is the new dress code.
