As a TODAY correspondent, no two mornings are the same for Jenna Bush Hager. Here, she shares her morning routine from a recent shoot in Nashville, where she interviewed country music legend Kenny Rogers (and brought baby daughter Mila along for the ride). I've been traveling like crazy, so for this shoot in Nashville, I wanted to bring Mila along. This was a first for me, and balancing shooting a story and being a mom was a bit of a challenge — but a VERY fun challenge.

On my grandfather's 88th birthday — an overcast day in Kennebunkport, Maine — he proclaimed he had one last skydive left in him. I laughed and honestly doubted him. But this summer, on his 90th, he astonished us all by parachuting through the brisk sea air. My grandfather has really always astonished me. When we were dating, my husband, Henry, and I took a “make-or-break-it” trip from Midland, Texas, to Portland, Oregon. Luckily, we made it—in no small part due to stops in places like Marfa, Texas, and the Grand Canyon. More recently, my sister and I took a road trip in a vintage Cadillac throughout the Southwest. I love the simplicity and languid time of being packed in a car with those you love, visiting the places that make our country spectacular.
