Yes, and I still do.
How is social media changing news?
Evolution. The real-time nature of news ported via social was next step & needed, but it's still news & that doesn't change. SM isn't magic.

Mark Twain
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means that it's my job to find the story in the news and look for a way to talk about the news as a Forbes reader would digest it.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I have never ever seen a funny news related hashtag, should there be one?
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer to get a real pitch about the story as it relates to the news. Tell me something, a press release says nothing.

pencil, paper, computer, internet

Instagram, can we call that social network?

Why did you become a journalist?
To tell a story, to show how technology affects our lives.

Yes I did and I wrote about arts and drama!

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read the Elements of Style. Read it over and over. And look for the story, not the news
