I was out in Death Valley National Park during a windstorm and I headed out to the dunes at sunset. I headed out to the Mesquite Dunes. The sunlight was hitting the blowing sand in the air above the dunes, creating a wonderful atmospheric effect. I noticed one little creosote bush, sheltered between two dunes. This bush was an example of how harsh this environment can be, but also how beautiful it can be at times like this.
