El Al Israel Airlines (TASE: ELAL) will pay compensation of NIS 59.9 million, including costs, in a settlement of a class action filed in the Central District Court. The settlement is subject to the court’s approval. The settlement comes after thirteen years of hearings of claims originating in 2000, twenty-six years ago. The application for a class action was filed in 2013 by non-profit organization Hatzlacha - The Movement for a Fair Society, which was represented by Adv. Amit Manor and Adv.

Israeli startup LoFrayer, which offers an AI-based platform for appealing against tickets for traffic and parking offences, has hardly marked a month since it was launched, and already finds itself in a battle with the Israel Bar Association.

The combination of the US dollar's slump against the shekel and weeks of war has led to an acute shortage of foreign currency at moneychangers in Israel. A "Globes" investigation into the matter found that the shortage has existed for several weeks, and is reflected in the complete absence of foreign banknotes for moneychangers who need much higher amounts than usual.
