The country icon and 'Big Sky' actress reflects on her success. Reba McEntire has done it all with records, television and sold-out concert tours yet McEntire says she has no plans of slowing down. The country music legend speaks about her upbringing, and the ups and downs of her career in a new special "Superstar: Reba McEntire." McEntire says she's still in awe of how far she's come. "It's like the ripple effect. You throw a pebble in the pond and it just started growing," McEntire said.

UCLA has received an additional $46 million gift from longtime supporter and legendary entertainment visionary David Geffen, a reinvestment that brings the amount of the David Geffen Medical Scholarship Fund to $146 million. The latest gift will enable 120 more students at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA to benefit from the fund, bringing the total number of students expected to receive awards to 414 over a 10-year period.

By Jennifer Wheelock UCLA plans to launch The Promise Armenian Institute, an entity that will establish a world-class research center and platform for public outreach about Armenia while integrating and expanding the university’s existing Armenian studies offerings and connections to that country. “This institute will be UCLA’s new hub for all initiatives and research related to Armenia and the diaspora,” said UCLA Chancellor Gene Block.
