Winterization in Commercial Real Estate: How to Get Ready for Mother Nature
Translations Blog Jennifer Wright, General Manager of Naperville Corporate Center December 05, 2025 Managing the impact of winter on an office property is a year-round process. While the methods may vary based on location (Minnesota and Illinois will have different requirements than California or Texas) and building type (high-rise buildings in urban areas versus suburban office campuses), the need to properly winterize your property remains essential.
Why AI chatbot romances will always fall short of the real thing - The Washington Post
Jennifer Wright is a writer and historian based in Los Angeles. It has come to my attention that some of you are dating AI chatbots. I get it: They don’t break plans on a Friday, they don’t ghost you after you vibe on an app, and you never have to worry about one banging on your door at 2 a.m. after a few too many. But I am here to warn the AI-curious that these algorithmic companions will do more harm than good.

Jennifer L. Wright has been writing since middle school, eventually earning a master’s degree in journalism at Indiana University. However, it took only a few short months of covering the local news for her to realize that writing fiction is much better for the soul and definitely way more fun.

Traveling by Yourself After a Breakup
Courtesy of the Matchmaking Festival The holidays are a notorious culprit when it comes to breakups. Maybe it’s the added stress of spending so much time with family, the way the holidays force a kind of intimacy on couples who might not be ready for it, or just the definitive marker of the end of the year. Either way, it’s the broken hearted who deserve a trip, preferably one where you can commune with like-minded souls.

7 Ways To Spot A Closet Conservative, From Their Breakfast Fixes To Movie Fandoms
Look, maybe you come from a family that just “doesn’t talk politics.” Maybe whenever you bring up, say, the man at the helm of our country during a pandemic, someone shouts, “The weather has been very warm lately!” Conversation diverted. Maybe you don't know how they voted in 2016. Honestly, that’s remarkable. You might be last person in America who doesn’t know the political views of everyone in their social circle and, consequently, is not fighting about them.

The Stonewall Massacre
Thoughtful and Well Written, I Enjoyed Ken Kamlet Since I’m primarily a reviewer of romantic fiction, I want to start by saying The Stonewall Massacre is not a romance. What the blurb proclaims as a “fictional work of alternate history”, well that’s exactly what this is. The blub also states that the author, Charles Ortleb, is a journalist. I was intrigued (and curious) and I had to give this one a try. The story is very well written, and reads as a first hand account of events.
We At The New York Times Have Not Gone Far Enough
Here at the New York Times we believe that the most important thing is treating all people with respect, regardless of how immeasurably damaging their views have proven to be. Gun owners? We’ve got to respect them and let them lead the way on gun change. Abortion? We should for sure defer to people who believe women are incapable of making their own decision on that. Climate change?

A witty, irreverent tour of history's worst plagues - from the Antonine Plague, to leprosy, to polio - and a celebration of the heroes who fought them. In 1518, in a small town in Alsace, Frau Troffea began dancing and didn't stop. She danced until she was carried away six days later, and soon 34 more villagers joined her. Then more. In a month more than 400 people had been stricken by the mysterious dancing plague.
The Drug Hunters Audiobook
The search to find medicines is as old as disease, which is to say as old as the human race. Through serendipity - by chewing, brewing, and snorting - some Neolithic souls discovered opium, alcohol, snakeroot, juniper, frankincense, and other helpful substances. Ötzi the Iceman, the 5,000-year-old hunter frozen in the Italian Alps, was found to have whipworms in his intestines and Bronze Age medicine, a worm-killing birch fungus, knotted to his leggings.

Human Reactions to Historical Disasters I loved this audiobook, far more than I had expected to. I feared that it might be another collection of awful diseases which pander to our desire for the macabre. But this was a Daily Deal from Audible and the ratings there and on Good Reads were excellent, so I took a chance. I’m glad that I did because this book was so much more than I had imagined.
