Coobowie stalwart and quiet achiever Norma McGuire, thanked for her contributions to the town following her decision to relocate to Ardrossan, takes a short break on the seat which features a plaque acknowledging her service to the community. ORIGINALLY from Adelaide, Norma McGuire moved to Coobowie from Tasmania in September 1970, taking on the role of housekeeper for widower the late Bruce Bartram and his young family.

NEW EQUIPMENT... Friends of Yorketown Hospital committee members Roseanne Meyers, Pat Franke and Allan Algie with their latest purchase for the facility’s new procedure and recovery room. IN 2014, personal experiences involving treatment at the Yorketown Hospital motived a small group of locals to look at ways to purchase equipment not supplied to the service by the government.
