1 Introduction Dissolution plays a role in many applications of physical chemistry [1], such as those found in crop, food, and pharmaceutical sciences. In pharmaceutics, various methods are defined in the pharmacopoeia monographs to ensure quality standards of drugs while analyzing properties of the solid-state form, especially in contact with aqueous media [2].

1. Introduction Melt milling, an adaptation of the wet milling process, currently focuses on the pharmaceutical sector and aims to address one of the industry’s key issues. Over the years, the structures of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) have become increasingly more complex. This leads to a limited aqueous solubility and slow dissolution rates for most of these new chemical entities.
