Firms increased credit access for card borrowers who qualify for large credit lines. The 75th and 90th percentiles of current card limits moved up by 5 and 5.4 percent year over year, respectively. The 90th percentile’s growth is the third highest annual increase in the 12-year history of the series. The 50th percentile card limit stayed at $5,000, a contraction in real terms. Credit card performance continued to show signs of consumer distress.
