The last day of the Olympics saw our USA women win Gold medals in both basketball and volleyball and propel the US past China for total gold medals 39-38 in the technically 2020 games. Hardwood Heat: The US Women’s basketball team won their 7th straight gold medal and really weren’t challenged the entire 2 weeks of the games. Kevin Durant led the Men’s team to their 4th straight gold medal, after a rocky start. Serving Up Gold: The Women’s volleyball team won their very first gold medal ever.

In 2003 Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick won the Australian and US Opens respectively. Since then, no US male has come close to winning a Grand Slam tennis event. For me, Agassi was also the last great personality in men’s tennis. The lack of brash, emotional players and excitement, From 03′ on, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have dominated the sport.
