ITV Channel presenter Jess Dunsdon shows off her crafting skills in the next instalment of our My Community series If you wandered down to St Clement's Parish Hall on a Tuesday morning, you'd find a group of women with their heads down, busy crafting away over a cup of tea. The talented Jersey group meet once a week to make everything from bracelets to Christmas crackers, as well as hedgehogs made out of old books! The ladies share much more than a love of crafting, however.

Islanders are calling for Jersey's discrimination law to be toughened, with the amount awarded to successful claimants currently capped at £10,000. By comparison, there is no limit in the UK. Their highest awards have topped £200,000 - accounting for things like loss of earnings and psychological damage. Last year, mum Sarah made a claim under Jersey's discrimination law for emotional distress.

Quite simply it was a damning verdict on the last administration. Eight Ministers fell in total, including the head honcho - John Le Fondre - the first sitting Chief Minister ever to be ousted. Ouch. Was it his handling of the pandemic? A failure to deliver on affordable homes? The lack of a meaningful population policy? The cost of living? The never ending new hospital saga? The management of public spending?
