PC gaming has always been an expensive hobby, but prices have become downright ridiculous as of late. It's bad enough that Nvidia's RTX 50-series cards cost slightly less than an international flight, but the memory supply crisis is also driving up the price of RAM and SSDs. Now it looks like motherboards might be next to see a significant price spike. Board Channels is a forum for hardware manufacturers and partners to communicate.

Nvidia has just announced that it intends to acquire Hugging Face, the biggest open platform dedicated to developing machine-learning applications. Considering Nvidia has been all-in on AI for the past few years—to the point that I barely remember the last time the company even mentioned gaming in an earnings call—it's hardly a surprising move. What did encourage a sharp intake of breath from me though was the price of this purchase; Nvidia will buy Hugging Face for a total of $12,930,300,000 .

Yes, my grandparents had one! I wrote a short and terrible story because I was about 10 but I'm still thankful for the experience.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Do not work for free. I wrote with no pay for four years. It helped me build up my skill set but, if it's worth writing, you should be paid.
