The incident occurred on July 2nd, 2026, at approximately 7:44 pm. The suspect was last seen driving off in a white 2006 GMC Sierra pickup with another male.

Posted: Jul 9, 2026 / 03:35 PM CDT Updated: Jul 9, 2026 / 03:35 PM CDT ANDREWS COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – A 67-year-old Andrews man was found deceased in a home while Andrews County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a welfare check earlier today. The man was identified as Charles Wayne Whaley. At 12:00 pm Andrews Deputies responded to the 100 block of SE 2801 for a welfare check on Whaley. When deputies arrived and made entry into the residence, Whaley was found deceased.
