Nigel Farage called a by-election in Clacton to try and save his skin from a parliamentary investigation into potential corruption. Farage claimed it was an election of the people versus the establishment. Of course Farage is a very rich man who hangs out with billionaires and is enriching himself through his political connections so he is up to his neck in the ‘establishment’. All the major parties refused to stand because, they argued, it was just endorsing this stunt.

That health check is currently being undertaken through the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) peer review process, where experts provide an in-depth assessment of a DAC member’s strengths and challenges with respect to the delivery of Official Development Assistance (ODA).
