What was your first job as a journalist?
My first Journalism style job was to write for the school newspaper in Junior High school.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes and I love them.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To me, being a journalist means telling the story no matter how gruesome it can be. Letting the world see the good and the bad.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Directly through email.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Microsoft word, Grammarly, and plagiarism checker
Who do you wish followed you?
i wish I was followed by talented writers and employer pottenntile
Why did you become a journalist?
I love to write and help others see the world from all different angles.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes I did as a writer and an editor.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I would have to say that all of my stories are the best. I love them all.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Keep trying and continue to write every day. Hone your skills. And never say never.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Early morning around 5 am, since I'm am early rises.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I was pitched to do reviews on Amazon where I would not receive pay, nor the product to review. I was simply to write a review blind.
What's your favorite drink?
coke cherry and coke vanilla.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
at a coffee shop or walking around in nature
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Many people think that my job is not a real one, however, I make more money than they do.
