Angels 0 White Sox 7 Is this what Arte’s unfinished business looks like? Today the Angels were swept into the history books by arguably the worst team in modern MLB history. In the process, Zach Neto’s season may have ended a few days early after he hurt his shoulder on a slide. Let’s not get into his base running prowess right now, but let’s just say it has not been good this series.

Angels 4 Nationals 5 Raise your hand if you thought Zach Neto and Jo Adell would be tied for the Angels HR lead on August 10th. Crazy, right? Adell smashed his 17th last night and Neto took his turn tonight. In this case, it was the go-ahead home run in the 5th that put the Angels on top – for a minute or two. Neto, however, giveth and he taketh. Despite hitting that go ahead bomb, he missed a relatively routine play in the bottom of the 7th that led to the Nats 3rd run.

Angels 9 Astros 7 This game sure had it’s share of excitement. Schanuel opened this game with a 65MPH single that had a .220 XBA. But the Angels would open up the scoring in this game with a Taylor Ward sac fly and Schanuel on third. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good, right? The Astros answered back quickly and Detmers struggled to get the 3rd out in the second inning, leading to a 3 run home run by Altuve and putting the Astros up 4-1.
