Around 40% of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients develop primary refractory or relapsed disease after receiving rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) [1]. Patients who experience progression of disease within 24 months (POD24) have particularly dismal prognosis with a median overall survival (OS) of around 7 months after progression [2].
