Jiayi Sun’s Biography

I was born and raised in China. In 2015, I came to the U.S. for my bachelor degree in journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated in May 2018. Currently, I'm a freelance news reporter. My focuses include metro, culture and energy.

I am eager to tell compelling stories that diminish language barriers and cultural differences in society today. I want to speak on behalf of the unspoken and inspire them to take action.
