Prognostic value of serum inflammatory markers in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma undergoing surgery: a two-center retrospective cohort study | BMC Cancer | Full Text
Of 1136 patients with EC assessed for eligibility (n = 1136), 660 were included in the study (Fig. 1). Among them, 511 patients were from the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. They constituted the training group, while 149 from the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center formed the validation group. Flowchart illustrating the patient enrolment process The median follow-up time for patients was 53.0 (interquartile range, 21–90) months.
Phase II Study of SBRT for Patients With Oligometastatic Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Abstracts: Background This study is aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for patients with oligometastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Methods From April 2015 to December 2018, a prospective single-arm phase II trial was conducted. The main inclusion criteria were ESCC patients with three or less metastases and a controlled primary malignancy after radical treatment, and all metastatic lesions amenable to SBRT.
Comparative genomic analysis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma between Asian and Caucasian patient populations
To overcome these challenges, we developed a robust computational strategy to detect race-biased mutated genes in ESCC between Asian patients (Chinese patients characterized by this study and Vietnamese patients characterized by the recent The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) study8) and Caucasian patients (characterized by the TCGA) (Fig. 1a).
